Dr Serena Tan

Dr Serena Tan graduated from the National University of Singapore Faculty of Dentistry with a Bachelors of Dental Dentistry (BDS). She was awarded the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Programme 2nd runner-up prize and represented NUS in Varsity Netball.

In the past, Dr. Tan underwent clinical postings at various government institutions such as the National Healthcare Group, National Dental Centre (Oral Surgical Department) and Health Promotion Board. She also headed dental clinics in the Singapore Armed Forces as Dental Officer-in-Charge of Central Manpower Base and Kranji Dental Centre, where she received numerous compliment letters from her patients. Through these postings, she had accumulated vast experiences in complex treatment planning, managing dental experiences, dental management of children, as well as surgical removal of wisdom teeth.

She believes in spending time with patients to help them understand their dental condition empower them with skills to improve their oral hygiene. She is patient and enjoys treating children as she finds it fulfilling to build rapport with young children and help allay their fears.

Dr Tan is a certified Invisalign provider and her scope of work includes restorative and aesthetic dentistry, orthodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics, periodontics, children’s dentistry and oral surgery. She maintains a keen interest in continuous professional development even in her free time, and avidly pursues courses and conferences, especially in Orthodontics.

She is an active member of Singapore Dental Association and College of General Dental Practitioners, where she serves as a committee member of the Continuing Dental Education team. In her free time, she plays netball and does yoga weekly.
